Become a certified Forest Kindergarten Teacher by attending our Teacher Training Program! Internationally recognized Early Childhood and Nature Education expert Erin Kenny leads our five day training course during which time you will get 20 hours of instruction at our Forest Kindergarten, the first such program in the U.S. modelled after the German waldkindergartens. The training includes three days of observation of our Forest Kindergarten program, two days of interaction in the field with our Forest Kindergarten kids, and includes one hour each day of follow-up time for questions and assessments. You will receive training worksheets, plus our Forest Kindergarten educational documentary DVD and our Forest Kindergarten training manual. Some follow-up consultation is included. Only one teacher in training at a time; the trainings are generally scheduled for once a month and background checks are REQUIRED.

Total cost for the Forest Kindergarten Teacher Training and Certification is $1000. Transportation, lodging and food are not included, although we may be able to assist in finding affordable lodging during your stay on Vashon Island. Contact our office for an application.
